أطلقت الشرطة اللبنانية الغاز المسيل للدموع في محاولة لتفريق محتجين يلقون الحجارة ويغلقون طريقا قرب البرلمان في بيروت يوم الأحد، في ثاني يوم من الاحتجاجات المناهضة للحكومة بعد الانفجار المروع الذي وقع في المرفأ الأسبوع الماضي.
واندلع حريق عند مدخل ساحة البرلمان فيما حاول المتظاهرون اختراق منطقة محاطة بسياج حسبما أظهرت لقطات تلفزيونية. واقتحم المحتجون أيضا مكاتب وزارة الأشغال العامة والنقل.
وقدم كل من وزيرة الإعلام منال عبد الصمد ووزير البيئة والتنمية الإدارية دميانوس قطار استقالتهما من الحكومة وسط التداعيات السياسية للانفجار والأزمة الاقتصادية المستمرة منذ شهور قائلين إن الحكومة لم تنجح في الإصلاح.
وأسفر انفجار أكثر من ألفي طن من مادة نترات الأمونيوم في مرفأ بيروت يوم الثلاثاء عن مقتل 158 شخصا وإصابة أكثر من ستة آلاف وتسبب في تفاقم الانهيار السياسي والاقتصادي المستمر في لبنان منذ شهور وأدى إلى دعوات غاضبة تطالب باستقالة الحكومة.
واشتبكت شرطة مكافحة الشغب التي يحمل أفرادها الدروع والهراوات مع المتظاهرين مع احتشاد الآلاف في ساحة البرلمان وساحة الشهداء القريبة منها حسبما قال مراسل لرويترز.
وقال وليد جمال وهو متظاهر عاطل عن العمل ”أعطينا هؤلاء الزعماء فرصا كثيرة لمساعدتنا ودائما ما يفشلون. نطالب برحيلهم جميعا خاصة حزب الله لأنه ميليشيا ويروع الناس بأسلحته“ في إشارة للجماعة المسلحة الأكثر نفوذا في لبنان والمدعومة من إيران والتي لديها وزراء في الحكومة.
وقال البطريرك بشارة بطرس الراعي رأس الكنيسة المارونية إن الحكومة يجب أن تستقيل إن لم تستطع تغيير ”طريقة حكمها“.
وأضاف في قداس يوم الأحد ”استقالة نائب من هنا ووزير من هناك لا تكفي بل يجب، تحسُسا مع مشاعر اللبنانيين وللمسؤولية الجسيمة، الوصول إلى استقالة الحكومة برمتها إذ باتت عاجزة عن النُهُوض بالبلاد، وإلى إجراء انتخابات نيابية مبكرة، بدلا مِن مجلسٍ بات عاطلا عن عمله“.
وقال وزير البيئة والتنمية الإدارية في بيان استقالته يوم الأحد إن الحكومة أضاعت العديد من الفرص للإصلاح. وأضاف ”مع انسداد أفق الحلول على وقع التجاذبات العبثية، وفي ظل آليات نظام عقيم ومترهل أضاع العديد من الفرص، وتجاوبا مع قناعاتي وضميري، قررت أن أتقدم باستقالتي من الحكومة“. وجاءت استقالته بعد استقالة وزيرة الإعلام التي عزت قرارها إلى انفجار المرفأ وإخفاق الحكومة في تنفيذ إصلاحات.
وشهد وسط العاصمة بيروت غليانا بالغضب يوم السبت. وكانت احتجاجات السبت هي الأكبر منذ أكتوبر تشرين الأول عندما خرج الآلاف إلى الشوارع احتجاجا على الفساد وسوء الحكم والإدارة.
وتجمع نحو عشرة آلاف شخص في ساحة الشهداء التي تحولت إلى ساحة قتال في المساء بين الشرطة والمحتجين الذين حاولوا إسقاط حاجز على الطريق المؤدي إلى البرلمان. واقتحم بعض المتظاهرين وزارات حكومية وجمعية مصارف لبنان.
ولقي شرطي حتفه وقال الصليب الأحمر إن أكثر من 170 شخصا أصيبوا.

قال يونس فليتي (55 عاما) وهو عسكري متقاعد يوم الأحد ”الشرطة أطلقت النار علي. لكن ذلك لن يمنعنا من التظاهر حتى تتغير الحكومة بكاملها“.
وعلى مقربة جلس فني إصلاح السيارات صابر جمالي في ساحة الشهداء قرب هيكل خشبي يتدلى منه حبل مشنقة في تحذير رمزي لزعماء لبنان بأنهم إن لم يستقيلوا فسيواجهون الشنق.
وقال ”كل زعيم يقمعنا يجب أن يشنق“. وأضاف أنه سيتظاهر من جديد.
وقالت المحامية مايا حبلي وهي تتفقد المرفأ المدمر حيث وقع الانفجار ”يجب على الناس النوم في الشوارع والتظاهر ضد الحكومة إلى أن تسقط..
وقال رئيس الوزراء والرئاسة إن 2750 طنا من مادة نترات الأمونيوم شديدة الانفجار، والتي تستخدم في صناعة الأسمدة والقنابل، كانت مخزنة منذ ست سنوات في مستودع بالمرفأ ودون إجراءات للسلامة.
وقالت الحكومة إنها ستحاسب المسؤولين.
وذكرت الرئاسة الفرنسية أن مؤتمرا طارئا للمانحين جمع تعهدات بنحو 253 مليون يورو (298 مليون دولار) لتقديم إغاثة إنسانية فورية للبنان.
وبالنسبة لكثيرين، كان انفجار المرفأ بمثابة تذكير مروع بالحرب الأهلية التي دارت رحاها من عام 1975 إلى عام 1990 وتسببت في تمزيق الأمة وتدمير مساحات شاسعة من بيروت التي أعيد بناء الكثير منها منذ ذلك الحين.
وقال مارون شحادة ”عملت في الكويت لمدة 15 عاما في مجال الصرف الصحي لتوفير المال وبناء محل لبيع الهدايا في لبنان وقد دمره الانفجار.. لن يتغير شيء حتى يغادر قادتنا“.
