كارثة كبرى حلت على المغرب إثر زلزال بلغت قوته 6.8 درجة على مقياس ريختر ما جعل المباني تتساقط مثل أوراق اللعب.
وبلغ عدد ضحايا الزلزال حتى الآن 820 شخصاً فيما تعتبر السلطات أن هذا الرقم مرشح للارتفاع خلال الساعات القادمة.

وبحسب المعلومات، فقد وقعت عشرات الهزات الارتدادية التي تجاوزت قوتها في بعض الأحيان 5 درجات على مقياس ريختر.
