وانتقدت ساكيلاروبولو خلال اجتماعها مع رئيس الحزب الشيوعي اليوناني ديميتريس كوتسومباس، القيادة التركية، قائلة، إنه بدلاً من السعي إلى اتفاق مشترك مع اليونان، تستخدم تركيا جميع المكائد غير المقبولة بهدف التنازع على حقوق اليونان السيادية.
