وهذا سيكون أقل حجم للرحلات منذ عقود في المطارات الإقليمية للبلاد، وهي ثيسالونيكي وهانيا وميكونوس ورودوس وكوس وسانتوريني وكورفو وأكيتيو وسكياثوس وكافالا وسيفالونيا وزاكينثوس وميتيليني وساموس.
وبلغ إجمالي عدد الوافدين في شهر يوليو من العام الماضي في المطارات الإقليمية الـ 14، 20777، أو ما يقرب من 670 على أساس يومي.
بالإضافة إلى هذا العدد المحدود من الوافدين، فإن مشغلي المطارات وشركات السياحة قلقون بشأن إلغاء الرحلات الجوية والتي يمكن أن تتم حتى 24 ساعة قبل الإقلاع، وفقاً للوائح الإلغاء الخاصة باتحاد النقل الجوي الدولي.
وبحسب السلطات اليونانية، فإنه باستثناء السويد والمملكة المتحدة، وهما دولتان لن يتم السماح برحلاتهما حتى 15 يوليو، لا توجد قيود على الوصول من أية دولة أوروبية أخرى.
