وقالت وسائل الإعلام الأمريكية، إن بسام مشتبه في أنه إرهابي ينتمي إلى تنظيم داعش، وتريد تركيا ترحيله إلى إحدى دول الاتحاد الأوروبي.
وبحسب وسائل الإعلام، فإنه لم يتم العثور على أية جريمة ضد بسام في قواعد البيانات الأمريكية والدولية، إلا أن هناك دلائل تشير إلى تورط شقيقه مع تنظيم داعش.
وأوضح مسؤولون يونانيون، أنه لن يتم السماح لبسام بدخول اليونان. ومن جانبها أعلنت وزارة الخارجية التركية اليوم الخميس، أنه سيتم إعادة بسام إلى الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية.
وأشار المسؤولون اليونانيون إلى أنهم يتوقعون محاولة وشيكة من تركيا لطرد 9 ألمان يشتبه في انتمائهم لتنظيم داعش. ومما زاد من المخاطر قيام ألمانيا بإسقاط الجنسية عن المشتبه بهم، مما يعني أنهم قد يحاصروا في اليونان.
